In partnership with our local NBA Team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, twice a year we select up to ten startups and help them get in the best possible shape to launch and grow their companies. Startups go through an intensive 12-week program culminating with Demo Day, when founders present their company to a curated audience made up of investors, community stakeholders and business leaders.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We host founders in cohorts, one in the spring and one in the fall.
Each cohort lasts 12 weeks. We culminate by introducing Founders to our extended network.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
We invest in people, not ideas. We are technology focused, industry agnostic and we are looking for resourceful and resilient founders solving meaningful problems. When evaluating applications we look for strong teams and self aware founders who know their strengths and weaknesses and are not afraid to ask for help. We don't do ego.
Working space at the Thunder LaunchPad, office hours with StitchCrew and partners. Access to our in and out of state mentor network. Early adapters and first time customers are likely to be secured through our network. At the end of the program, founders present their idea to an invite-only audience made up of investors and business leaders. Our relationship doesn't end after the 12 weeks. Founders become Alumni and part of our Network. Through a series of programs, we continue to provide support, partnerships and networking opportunities.
We don't take equity or board seats in the companies we support. This means founders don't have to dilute control of their companies or pay a fee to go through our program.

WHY THE THUNDER?
Sports teams are one of the greatest motivators of our time. They inspire commitment, dedication and risk taking. Sports teams also teach us a thing or two about an individual’s ability to push limits, manage success and failure as a learning step to becoming great. Moreover sports teams tend to be inclusive, diverse and unscripted. These cultural characteristics are critical traits of successful entrepreneurs and thriving startup communities.
