Overcome Self-Doubt

Are you sure? There are already people doing that. What if you don’t succeed?

At times it will feel like these phrases are running through your mind 100 times a day on repeat. You might even start to believe the naysayers and question why you even started this in the first place.

DON’T.

When you start a business or try to challenge the status quo there will be a lot of people who will put you down and try to tell you that you or your idea is wrong.

You don’t have time to entertain negative thoughts. Focus on building a great product. There are too many milestones to realize, details to hash, and connections to make. Being on your A-game requires too much of your focus to let self-doubt detract from the end game.

As it relates to success, it will not happen over night. A little piece of advice from Graham Phoenix, “Look forward to failure. This is how you learn to succeed.” It is easy to see successful entrepreneurs and focus on how you are not there yet. However, for every one success they had there were 100 failures to get them there. It is all of the breakdowns, change-ups, and redo’s that make the finished product that much more rewarding. I wish it were as simple as just deciding to launch a startup. That would save you so much stress, time, and let’s face it money. Just remember you already made the hardest decision… To start. “The biggest risk is not taking any risk… In a world that’s changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.” Those are Mark Zuckerberg’s words of wisdom.

You will have your fair share of criticism from those around you don’t let it make you inferior, be in control.
